Ted's Restaurant has been a southside Birmingham favorite for just about, well . . . forever. With the original "Ted's Cafeteria Restaurant" sign still intact, and the clock frozen in time at 3:22 (and 11:03), the diner beckons us to meat 'n' three goodness. Proof in the proverbial pudding: Ted's was again hailed by Birmingham Weekly as this year's top "Meat and Veggie" venue. This family-owned diner serves up a lunch menu featuring ten entrees, seven salads, and eighteen vegetables from 10:30am to 2pm five days a week. Finish it all off with Judy's homemade banana pudding, cobbler, or a selection of pies. A full and hearty weekday breakfast served from 6:30 to 9:30am also draws in the southside and downtown crowds.
